About the App

Community App that is on a Mission...

The Harpenden Guide Community App was launched at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic to help support our local community.

Our goal was to provide local people and businesses with a unique resource where we could share helpful information and help local businesses promote themselves to local people. The response it received has been nothing short of phenomenal.  See some of the facts and figures here...

The Harpenden Guide has fast become the 'go to' local resource for Harpenden residents.  It's ability to provide easily accessible information and updates, that are always at your fingertips and only ever a 'tap' away, is quite unique.

If you have any thoughts, ideas or suggestions please do contact us using the forms in the app or drop us a line at enquiries@harpendenguide.co.uk as we'd love to hear from you.

Why are we doing this?

  • To help support our local community by promoting local businesses, local organisations and helping people to 'shop local'.

  • To provide local people with a unique resource where they can quickly and easily access information on things that matter.

Who's behind the App?

We're a local Harpenden family and we created The Harpenden Guide Community App as a unique way to support local businesses and provide local people with a unique 'pocket guide' to all things Harpenden.

We know how hard the Covid-19 pandemic hit small businesses as we also run a couple of small local family businesses too that provide App Development Services, Web Sites and 3D Virtual Tours.

This was our opportunity to create a valuable resource for local people and to support other local business owners too.

Each year we try to do something that will provide some benefit to our local community. In the past this has included everything from 'The Chocolate Ball' a local Charity black tie dinner (raising over £15k for the local Hospices) to supporting Age Concern by running unique 'Afternoon Tea Parties' for older people.  In 2021 it has been the launch of The Harpenden Guide!

We hope that you find the App a useful local resource - please do feel free to share your thoughts and ideas with us!
